Well, this is an Indian summer
to beat them all.
Six weeks into the fall
and winter's still a dubious rumour.
Shame it is that's flushed those lyart leaves,
shame at having fallen off so soon
while warm days stroll towards All Souls' Eve
and still there's no real rancour in the moon.
